About Goldscholars

Our School is situated in a serene environment and has dedicated carers and passionate educators to guide the learners in all ways. We have nurtured learners from cradle through to scholars of repute and we continue to do so. Our Core Values are embedded in the acronym DEPID which means D - Discipline, E - Excellence, P - Passion, I - Integrity and D - Diligence.  Every Session we are propelled by a Special Theme.  For the 2023/2024 Session, Our Theme is Team Works Make Dreams work.  For the Third Term of the Session, our sub-theme is My Success, Our Success.  Our Director of Schools, Mrs Abimbola Olamilokun, an educationist per excellence, is a graduate of University of Lagos and specialized in Educational Administration. Our Team of Educators are experienced and professional. We are very proud of our history and friendly environment. Join the Goldscholars Family and begin the journey to make you outstanding.

Charge to Work - CGB

CGB 240422
Charge to Goldscholars Staff

We welcome our teachers, parents and learners to the Third Term of the Academic Session 23/24. As educators, this term is very crucial to us all and we must make efforts to put into practice all we have learned during the external and internal seminars we had during the holidays. We should embrace continuous improvement. As a school we have many  facilities that promote learning through direct participation of our learners. Our structure is designed to make each learner unique and we interact with each by recognizing individual differences. Our team is trained to react to situations in prompt and timely version.  At the helms of our affairs during this term is the Head of Schools who will ensure that things work  properly. Our Head of Schools is a passionate educator, Mrs Uchechi Agu Mbonu. She is assisted by the Inspection Officer who will monitor our compliance with Quality Assurance and the Supervisor who will ensure that all our routines, both administrative and academic sail through smoothly. We will interface with our parents on issues of concerns to our learners through regular consultation and briefing. Our next Parents Breakfast Forum will take place on the Fifth Week of the Term.

We should not forget the admonition of our Director of Schools during the seminar.  She had charged us to make it a habit to read one book a week and to improve our presentation techniques.  Our CETC had emphasized the need for us to maintain our passion in all activities.  He had motivated us through rewards.  We congratulate those who won some awards.  In the spirit of our theme for the session in general, and our sub-theme for the term, our reward approach is not a zero sum game as the second team in the Seminar, Team Alpha, will now receive some awards.  The team should contact the PACGB for these awards.  *At Goldscholars, My Success, Our Success.*

Our Learners are resuming on the 22nd of April 2024. They look up to us to provide a better environment, a better zeal and commitment. We will do just that. Management has planned to install additional cameras for surveillance. The Enhanced Kid Monitor will commence immediately and the final year students would commence preparations for certificate examinations. The Graduation and Award Programme GAP 2024 will take place during the term and we should commence preparations in earnest. The Goldscholars College and Schools is poised for standing out during the term. As team players we should join hand to make this happen. Our staff hand book at 24shb4d should be our good guide and our code of conduct.  I wish you all a successful term filled with unforgettable activities.

Languages and Culture of our Peope

The Language of our country is the English Language.  However, from inception, we have encouraged our learners to master the French Language.  Yoruba is taught as the local language. Also, we encourage out learners to speak other languages as demonstrated through our featuring many languages during the Cultural Day 2024 where, Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Tiv, Edo and other languages were featured. Here, the Head of Schools, Mrs Uchechi Agu Mbonu, leads the Edo Group during the Cultural Day 2024

Excursions

We have learnt,  early enough, that our learners would benefit immensely from a guided tour.  We visited the Airport, the Railway Station, the Conservation Centre, Media houses and Companies of repute.  We plan to visit a neighbouring  city using the railway and probably move to a neighbouring country by road if the security situation permits.

Music lessons

Parents, who are conversant with the Movie, Sound of Music, would want their children to build up a musical feat at a young age. From learning d r m f s l t d to reading music notation from early years, our learners build confidence in music. In the picture, Year 2 Learners and their Class Manager are welcomed back to school after holidays on the Red Carpet.

Our Cultural Day 2024

As the world moves through the digital technology and Artificial Intelligence, we allow our learners to tamper with programming at the elementary stage and moving up to coding as a fundamental computer language.  Our experts teach them to do so with ease. Our learners enjoy coding and we also involve them in the culture of our people.  During our Cultural Day 2024, The Tiv Team, led by Mrs Joy Nwachukwu put up a beautiful performance.
